Concrete Driveway Replacement in Northern Virginia
JP Companies is a family-owned masonry and concrete contractor in Centreville, Virginia, in business since 2007. Our main work is concrete driveway replacement: the old driveway comes out and a new one goes in, usually in one to two days on site.
We also build the projects that go with a new driveway: concrete, paver and stone walkways and front steps, patios with seating walls and fire pits, and community concrete for HOAs and townhouse communities. JP Companies is licensed in Virginia (Class A) and Maryland (MHIC).
How We Build a Concrete Driveway
Every job starts with Miss Utility (811) and a layout marked on the ground with you. Under the new concrete goes 2–4” of compacted 21A or 57 stone; the slab itself is 4” of 4,000 PSI concrete reinforced with 6” x 6” welded wire mesh, with control joints cut every 8–10 feet so it cracks where it is meant to.
